THANKING OUR SPONSORS

The Santa Barbara International Orchid Show, Inc., is a 501(c)3 organization and exists for the enjoyment of the community, to promote a love of orchids, and to educate the public on the culture and care of orchids.

Our event could not do what it does without the generous support of a caring community.  We are so thankful for the following companies and non-profits for their ongoing support:

William Sansum Diabetes Center

Dr. William D. Sansum, who brought renown to Santa Barbara in 1922 as the first physician in the U.S. to produce and administer life-saving insulin to patients with diabetes, founded the nonprofit organization in 1944.  Today, under the leadership of Ellen Goodstein, the William Sansum Diabetes Center remains an extraordinary place, where research, education and care have improved the lives of people worldwide who are impacted by this serious disease.

The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians

The story of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians is a story of hope, optimism and success. The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians are looking ahead for the well-being of the next generations as they honor their heritage and traditions today.  The reservation in the Santa Ynez Valley is the home to tribal families, and to our tribal government. But the reservation is also home to a dream that started many years ago with the Chumash ancestors. Their spirit will continue far into the future because of the actions we are taking in the present.  The success of their business enterprises is the result of decades of hard work. The tribe was undeterred by the many obstacles along the way. They knew that a secure economic footing was key to self-sufficiency for tribal members and to our tribal government’s ability to provide services to their families.  Today, tribal families have increased opportunities for education, better health care and access to cultural offerings that respect and build on our past.

We believe that Montecito Bank & Trust and the communities we serve are two halves of the same whole. Montecito Bank & Trust has prospered as a locally owned bank for over thirty-five years because of the loyalty and support of our community. In turn, they have an enduring commitment to maintaining the strength and vitality of the communities where we live.  Montecito Bank & trust puts this commitment into action every day. Their philanthropic efforts include the well-known Community Dividends® program which contributes $1 million annually to over a hundred nonprofit organizations in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.
